Mental health and wellbeing in the workplace
My mission is to get nutrition on the mental health agenda. Whilst many businesses now have mental health first aid as part of their staff welfare programme and offer conselling and other support for those with mental health distress, this tends to be reactive and is offered to staff when they are already suffering with declining mental health.
Educating staff about how to eat well means you are taking a preventative, proactive role in supporting yourself and your staff, reducing the risk of ill health, reduced productivity, workflow disruption, low office morale, lack of continuity, staff turnover, and you can reduce the number of days lost to sickness.

I regularly speak about gut, immune, mental health and the effects of stress on our mood, mindset and motivation, and how we can use food to support and optimise our mental and physical wellbeing.
Workshops are more interactive, encouraging audience participation, with sessions being tailored to a particular health condition or meal type. These are live sessions or conducted via Zoom.
For those looking for some hands on help, I also run food demonstrations centred around creating nutritious meals which are quick and easy to prepare. These can also be tailored to a particular theme eg healthy dinners, breakfasts, lunches, snacks or foods to boost mood, keeps energy levels stable etc.
