Terms & Conditions

Purchasing tests and nutrition services through our websites www.yourhealthtests.co.uk and www.joannaplant.co.uk means that the rules for distance selling and online selling applies, as set out below. By using our website and purchasing goods and services from us, you are deemed to have read and agree that you will be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. The trading name of our business is Your Health Tests. You can contact us at info@yourhealthtests.co.uk or by telephone 01780 723803 or at this address: Joanna Plant, 3 Cecil Court, Wharf Road, Stamford, PE9 2WD.
  2. The goods and services we supply include the following: test kits for collecting samples of saliva, blood, urine or stool, which you will then send to a designated laboratory who will then conduct clinical tests and provide you with the results; the test kits are prepared and sent to you directly by the laboratory we work with, Genova Diagostics, or such other laboratory we may choose to work with. Some tests requires you to make your own arrangements for a venous blood draw; our terms and conditions do not cover phlebotomy services. Our services also include nutritional consultations and plans, group and individual programmes, talks and workshops. These may be conducted in person or online. 
  3. Payment must me made when placing your order, in pounds sterling only.
  4. Payment is via Paypal.
  5. If purchasing a test, the kit will be delivered to you within approximately 7 days from purchase, depending what day and time you place your order. For purchases made at the weekend, delivery times may be longer. The latest time it may take to deliver your test kit is 30 days.
  6. When purchasing a test, costs of delivering the test kit to your designated address are included in the purchase price. 
  7. The purchase price of any tests includes VAT. The purchase price of any nutrition services excludes VAT.
  8. Any costs associated with phlebotomy services (blood draws for tests requiring blood samples), must be paid for separately, in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the phlebotomy clinic.
  9. The purchase price of your test includes courier costs for sending your collected samples to the laboratory. However, if you choose to send your samples by Royal Mail, you will be responsible for these costs at the time of posting. We are not able to make refunds for courier costs if you choose to use the Royal Mail postal service rather than the courier service.
  10. When submitting samples to the lab, do please take note of the date, and diarise the expected results day, according to the turnaround time stated on our website for that test. Please do not contact the lab or ourselves sooner than the quoted turnaround time to chase for test results. Your results will be sent to you by the lab, not by Your Health Tests. 
  11. Please also note that samples must not be sent on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday as the lab is unable to receive samples on these days. You will need to plan the day or days when you collect your samples to ensure that you can submit them only on a Monday to Thursday which are not bank holidays. This is particularly important especially if you are using phlebotomy services as we can not be responsible for any losses arising if samples are incorrectly submitted.
  12. Instructions relating to the collection of samples for your chosen test(s) will be included within the test kit. You must follow these exactly as they appear as we cannot be responsible for any tests which cannot be processed by the lab due to improper collection or storage of your samples, and any losses arising as a result. If you are unclear on how to collect and store your samples, please contact us at info@yourhealthtests.co.uk  
  13. When you receive your test kit, please check if there is any time limit stated on the collection cups or instructions as some of these contain solutions which have a shelf life. We can not be responsible for any unusable test kits where you have not followed these instructions.
  14. If when placing your order, you are unsure about anything, please get in touch 01780 723803 or info@yourhealthtests.co.uk and we will be pleased to assist you.
  15. If you are purchasing nutrition services, the length of the consultation/contract period is as stated in the description. While some consultation plans may continue after the end date by mutual agreement, we are unable to end the contract period early, although you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. The 14 day period (“the 14 day cancellation period”) begins on the day following the date you received confirmation of your order. If you decide to cancel the contract within the 14 day cancellation period and the nutrition services have already commenced, we reserve the right to retain payment for the services delivered up to the point of cancellation, and we will refund the balance only. If you wish to cancel within the 14 day cancellation period and the nutrition services have been conducted in full and completed, you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel. You do not have the right to cancel the contract after the 14 day cancellation period has expired. If you are unable to attend the nutrition consultation at the agreed times for any reason, we will use best endeavours to try and reschedule your programme, at our discretion. In the event of a dispute over cancellation, it is your responsibility to prove that you sought to cancel the contract within the 14 day period following purchase and you must therefore provide durable proof of cancellation. Durable proof includes an email, letter or telephone call with clear evidence that it was sent/made within the 14 day cancellation period.  
  16. If you are purchasing a test, you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days of purchase, unless you have already despatched your collected samples to the laboratory, in which case the contract cannot be cancelled and a refund cannot be issued. The 14 day cancellation period begins on the day following the date you received confirmation of your order. In the event of a dispute over cancellation, it is your responsibility to prove that you cancelled the contract within the 14 day period, and you must therefore provide durable proof of cancellation. Durable proof includes an email, letter or telephone call with clear evidence that it was sent/made within the 14 day cancellation period.
  17. Where you wish to cancel our testing services (and you notify us of this within the 14 day cancellation period), you must return the test kit to us, unused and unopened in order to obtain a full refund. You will need to cover the cost of postage for any returns and should send the unopened test kit to us at 3 Cecil Court, Wharf Road, Stamford, PE9 2WD. Refunds will be processed within 30 days. We reserve the right to charge £30 for any incomplete, damaged or opened test kits which you return to us and this will be deducted from the refunded monies. We also reserve the right to deduct any postage fees where you have not covered these. 
  18. When you purchase a test, we arrange the laboratory testing services on your behalf. We therefore receive commission from the laboratory for acting as an agent.
  19. Where you decide to gift any purchased test to someone else after you have received it, you must contact us to confirm their full details. This will attract a £25 administration fee. 
  20. Whether you purchase a test or bespoke nutrition services, the contract will commence when payment is made, and we will email you confirming the details of your purchase.
  21. The content on our website should not be construed as medical advice and we are not endorsing or recommending any brands, treatments, foods, supplements or other complementary therapies or therapists. You must seek advise of a GP, healthcare practitioner or nutritionist if you wish to make changes to your dietary intake, or if you wish to start taking supplements. If you are pregnant or on medications, it is essential that you seek medical advice. Do not stop taking any medications or conventional treatment for no reason without seeking medical advice. Do not delay in seeking medical advice as a result of anything you may read on our website. 
  22. Where you employ our bespoke nutrition services, you are duty bound to inform us of any medications, supplements, tinctures or other preparations and treatments you are taking or receiving, prior to any consultation taking place. You acknowledge that where you take part in any on or offline group programme, talk or workshop, that the content delivered is generic only and cannot be construed as being advice which is necessarily suitable for you. 
  23. We reserve the right to withdraw, cancel, alter or amend any tests, products, services or website content at any time at our discretion, without any requirement to compensate you. In the event that we do this and a contract has already started between us, we will issue a refund within 30 days. If however, we withdraw or cancel the contract due to any inappropriate behaviour, reason, event, or happenings caused or brought about by you, we will not issue a refund.
  24. We reserve the right to make price changes at any time.
  25. The content on our website also forms part of these terms and conditions and it is your responsibility to fully read all the information, both generic and specific information relating to any particular test you wish to purchase such that you fully understand the extent and limitations of the testing services prior to making your purchase.
